Regulatory & Compliance Awareness 

We also check the understanding of local and international accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP), awareness of regulatory frameworks like SOX compliance, AML/KYC rules for financial services and familiarity with tax laws in relevant jurisdictions. 

Financial Market & Business Acumen 

Recruiting for a Finance role also means evaluating the ability to discuss P&L impacts, cash flow, and balance sheet drivers with credibility, understanding how economic trends, interest rates, and inflation influence finance roles as well as assessing the candidate’s awareness of emerging finance priorities such as ESG reporting and digital transformation. 
 
We are also able to carry out deeper candidate assessments covering technical skills (e.g., Excel modelling tests, case studies), soft skills critical in finance: attention to detail, ethics, stakeholder communication and of course covering career progression paths so we can look at long-term fit, not just the short term job.
